Jailbreak your iPhone with a Web App

iPhone hacking hasn’t really seemed to slow down, even with the news that we will be getting legit iPhone applications in February. It also seems that Jailbreaking is getting easier and easier.

There is now a web app called AppSnapp at jalibreakme.com (If you are using an iPhone don’t go there unless you want to jailbreak your phone, I’m guess it doesn’t do it automatically, but to be safe I wouldn’t suggest it), the application will jailbreak your phone, install installer.app, and fix the TIFF exploit that was used to jailbreak the phone to begin with.

The best part about this method is that you don’t have to use your computer at all. All you need to make this work is a WiFi connection and your iPhone.

I’ll be honest with all of you, I am not going to do this with my phone because I don’t want to have the issues that others did with the update to firmware 1.1.1, I would much rather wait until February to get my 3rd party apps. Oh, and by the way, I don’t really know what 3rd party apps I would really want anyway, maybe a Twitter app, but even then PocketTweets just works so well.

PS. This does work with the iPod Touch as well.
