Apple has launched a directory of web apps for the iPhone. I think that this is rather interesting because there are already many people that do this. This seems to be a reaction to the dev community being upset about the inability for the iPhone to support 3rd party apps (according to Apple).
So what do I think of the directory, well it looks fine, I wish that it would look better in the iPhone’s browser but I guess I can deal with it. Strangely the directory does not list any instant messaging web apps for the iPhone, this could be a sign that Apple is working on one for the iPhone (that would be my best guess anyway).
Anyway, if you have an iPhone (or an iPod Touch) check out the directory here.
I find iPhone apps at http://www.appsafari.com
No IM apps? Either that, or they want to push you towards using SMS.
AppSafari looks pretty cool. I’ll have to check it out a little bit more when I have to time.
They probably do want to push you towards using SMS but what I don’t understand about that is, I have had several phones with instant messaging built in, I guess in that case every phone didn’t have unlimited data.
