3rd Party Apps for the iPhone

Very sad to say that Apple will not exactly be letting developers create 3rd party apps for the iPhone. They will let them make web apps for the Safari browser that is on the iPhone. They will be able to use the iPhones services like making calls and sending emails.

I’m really sad about this because how would you be able to use those apps when you don’t have any type of connection? On top of that, the developers would have to pay for all the hosting of that application. They also didn’t hand out an SDK telling the developers how to use the services or some type of pack that includes standard images or lay out of how the apps should be developed.

It is very disappointing but I sure do hope that they end up allowing 3rd party developers to write for the iPhone directly. Let’s hope.
