Rogers Reminds Me That Data Plans in the US Aren’t That BadApple, Cell Phones, iPhone, Mobile June 28th, 2008
Rogers has announced the pricing for the iPhone plans and it is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.
So what they’re saying is that the absolute maximum amount of data you can use without paying horrible overage fees is 2GB!
Come on now Rogers, I don’t even live in Canada and I’m offended by this. There can be only three explanations for why the data plans are so expensive:
Your infrastructure is so poorly constructed that you have to charge this much otherwise the switching hardware will disintegrate.
You’re so dumb you don’t understand how anyone would want to have unlimited data for their smartphones.
You get a kick out of charing your customers an unreasonable amount of money and enjoy laughing in their face when they ask if their is an unlimited data plan.
Either way Rogers is charging too much, and it’s a shame too because the options for cell phone service in Canada is even worse then in the US.
Rogers has it’s customers over a barrel and they are enjoying every minute of it.
