Win a Joost Invite
Beta, Contest, IPTV, Joost, Media April 6th, 2007If you would like to get one of four Joost invites then you better keep reading. To get a chance to win a Joost invite all you have to do is post a comment on this blog, of course it has to be relevant to the post that you are commenting on but it isn’t that hard. Just put in your email address and your name and you have a chance to get one.
Comments on this post will not count, but feel free to comment here as well if you want to.
I do delete comments that are not relevant so just add to the blog with a comment and try to win one.
I’m not sure when the contest will be closed but I think that Wednesday April 11th will be the cut off date.
Don’t hesitate and start commenting.
Update: I decided to count comments on this post, I don’t think it would be fair to count this one out.
Update: Just put your email in the required email box not in the main comment box. This way I will see it incase you win but you don’t have to show it to the whole world. Also if you already have a Joost account please mention it in the comment so that those who don’t have it can have a better chance, there is no need for anyone to get two invites.
Update: The contest is officially over and we have winners they are:
Pavan
Cameron
Alexandre
Daniele
Update: I have 3 more, find out how to win one here.

Those are great reviews of the joost program. I had heard a few things about it but had yet to see any significant reviews with actual numbers. Keep up the good post, can’t wait to see how the program ends up.

Joost is a hot product. From their relevance in other technical matters I would love to be an early tester as many of the reviews have mixed results. I would like to share this type of technology with my students who are always eager to try out new technologies. A screen of the appropriate channels would be necessary but I would think the National Geographic channel alone is a “boost” to quality programming for some children in environmentalism courses. It is a huge impact on the next generation by allowing access to beta versions of programs. Thanks for consideration and I hope to be joosted.

Just heard about joost here in Hawaii. I’m not for sure about it but I would like to get a memership or a chance to view this as I’ve kept up with the entertainment business for 50 years and can tell you most anything. This would only add to my hobbie with a big plus and if it is what I’ve been told, it will replace the TV 10 fold. Keep up the good work for entertainment.

April 8th, 2007 at 4:20 am
Hey you rock!
Accidentally stumbled upon this blog when searching for invites. Lots of posts on Joost and the YouTube commercial. I don’t even know such ads exist.
Overall great job to the Joost marketing team in generating the buzz in the cyberspace using viral marketing & invitation based like GMail.
Really want to check it out especially the community aspect since the Joost guys are known for products that connects people (Kazaa & Skype) beyond the sleek interface.
So if by the kindness of your heart you decide to pass me a token, drop me a line.

Hey, I teach informatics in school and I just read about Joost and I would really like to see it with my own eyes. It would be nice to show it also to my students. I live in a little country called Estonia and I dont have the opportunity to see this software by action. Pealse, I really need this invite:)
By the way, I LOVE TV

I really think that Joost may be a really good idea… but I’m kinda skeptical. I have never heard of this before, I just stumbled on Joost by accident. I have been a beta tester in other ventures of online activity and really it is a big responsibility to tell people about the problems with their program… This invite system is brilliant though, it really catches peoples interests, I haven’t watched TV in months, because I’m on the internet most of the time. It would be nice to see the new union of the two major mediums of information come together. So here I am begging like all the rest of them to really see what Joost is.

I’m Korean having few chance to get abroad, and Internet is the only way I can feel outside world. There are wars in some parts of the earth and funny shows like dramas, and politics. I’ve wanted to experience all those things and thought TV is the fastest way. So I’ve looked for how, and yeah, there’s a way of downloading some record files over Internet. But it’s not enough. I want more. The real broad and open sea of information can bring that to me, and that’s Joost.
So if you have spare invitations, send me one please.
I’ve been eager to have it thesedays. If you do it for me, I really appreciate that.
Thank you.

I lost my job over IP TV. That’s the truth. I worked for a fabless semiconductor company who made chips for the monitor and projector market. The CEO put a large part of the companies resources into developing a chip for the IP TV market. It was too early a move into the IP TV market and the company lost a bunch of money. My job was eliminated along with over half the other employees.
Now that IP TV is real, I want a chance to experiance it.
Thanks,
Randy

Well, I am very wondering about that Joost software, I have read many articles on the technology and software, but never ever had the chance to give it a try. Well, I am writing from Eastern Europe, and here technological innovations are likely to become common later than in more developed countries, that’s why I have no friends who could invite me. So I found this way of getting an invitation, and I have to add, this is so cool. By the way I ain’t watch television so much, I’d rather hang on the net. Hopefully I’m getting an invitation from you, and then I can tell all of my friends, that I am a Joost user, so they may become yellow from envy, if they get to know what it is all about:) Andrew
